Professor Zhang Mingshan of City University of New Jersey came to teach professional course

From June 25 to July 6, 2018, Professor Zhang Mingshan from City University of New Jersey came to teach Corporate Finance for 2016 undergraduates majoring in financial engineering at School of Economics and Management.

During the course, the School of Economics and Management, the Academy of Education and the International Cooperation Department jointly organized relevant personnel to supervise and inspect the whole teaching process. Professor Zhang Mingshan used advanced teaching ideas and methods abroad to fully interact with students, and explained abstract concepts and important knowledge points in the course with vivid and interesting cases, achieved good teaching results.

In addition to teaching, Professor Zhang Mingshan also conducted academic discussions and scientific research cooperation and exchanges with the teachers and students, so that the majority of teachers and students can understand the frontier trends of accounting and finance in foreign countries, and make sure the direction of future discipline development.

Note: Professor Zhang Mingshan graduated from Tsinghua University in 1997, majoring in International Finance and Finance, School of Economics and Management, and was awarded the title of Excellent Graduate of Tsinghua University and Excellent Graduate of Beijing Colleges and Universities in 1997. In the same year, she was sponsored to Graduate School of Tsinghua University. Graduated from Tsinghua International Trade in 1999.She studied in the United States in 1999 and received her Ph.D. in 2005 at the University of California, Los Angeles Business School. In the same year, she went to Hong Kong University of Science and Technology to teach, from 2013 to 2015 at Ken University in the United States, and from 2015 to now at City University of New Jersey. The main research fields are evaluation research, capital market accounting research, stock exchange research, institutional research.
